 When other markets pick up, we tend to pick up because of our heavy relocation.   We are seeing a lot more showings in the past couple of weeks.  This is not spin, just reading some signs, you can look at the negative, or look at the positve.  What we need right now is movement.  Take it or leave it.  We get information before the media.

Believe it or not, things are picking up in the real estate world.  They may not be gangbusters and overinflated like the years we saw before, but houses are selling.  If you are thinking about moving, you may want to take advantage of the peak summer selling season.  Here are some positive things that will help our market:   

As some of you may have read, there was a school board meeting for Realtors this week.  It was an informational meeting for agents to pass on the right information to our customers.  I did not count the number of agents in attendance but it could have been around 50.  It was a question and answer session, that proved to be very helpful. I will touch on a few points that I found very good and helpful.1.  I asked David Owens and Mike Elliot directly about the concurrency issues we all talked about in the early spring.  It appears that they have to revisit this in May of 08, but that most of the redistricting in the "near foreseeable future" will have to do with new schools.

With the great help of the internet, networking and email, we have had over 5000 hits on our Class reunion website http://www.87raiders.myevent.com/index.php.  Please feel free to visit our site to see what our class has accomplished in the past 20 years.  It is nice to know that we came from such a strong tight community.  We are expecting over 200 at the HUGE event this weekend.  There is also a FREE come as you are mixer at the Mecury Moon on 220 on Friday.  People from other classes are encouraged to come.  The more the merrier.  Please email or call if you would still like to register.  Thanks Hope to see you there.  GO RAIDERS!

The Orange Park High School Class Reunion will be held at the Cypress Club and Ballroom on August 4, 2007.  Our website is http://87raiders.myevent.com.   If you are a member of this class or know anyone who is, please pass this website along.  We are trying to have a HUGE REUNION but in order to keep costs down, we are relying on the 700 graduates to pass this website along so we don't have to spend hundreds or thousands locating people.  We have several hundred signed up already, don't be left out!.  Please register on the website so we can have your information.  There are great photos and bios.  IT WILL BE A BLAST!
