Comeback? Talking Points

Clinton appeared on the factor, Bill Oreilly show or at least there was an interview she did not physically appear.  Very interesting move in my opinion and the opinion of several commentators that followed, saying that the move to appear was tactical and stradegy based.  Dick Morris, former Bill Clinton staffer still thinks the primary is over even with Obama's "derailing" time with Rev. loon Wright.  Do you think that the democratic primary is basically over?  Remeber Clinton just won the Penn. primary and is currently fairing well in the upcoming primary polling.

Meanwhile Moses aka McCain who is the lesser of the two evils mentioned above waits patiently for an opponent to destroy in November which after Clinton saying that she WILL raise your taxes (Federal Taxes) from 33% back to 39% as it was with slick willie, and Obama either being an ignorant member of his church or a secret supporter of Wright's comments regardless of his phony press conference yesterday, McCain's odd's aren't looking too bad.  McCain may still have a problem with Iraq and the economy, but eventually it will come back down to money.  Both Dems. want to raise YOUR taxes (on the wealthy, Yeah right) and in the current economical times which for me and this isn't logical thinking, the economy isn't that bad, however, for most it is and higher taxes will probably be more unpopular than the war.

Rebate Checks

I know i'm bi-polar.

But the rebate checks are coming one week earlier than expected or at east the checks will start coming out one week earlier.

Now, i'm no economist and correct me if i'm wrong, but this is expansionary fiscal policy, putting more money into the market.  This creates higher rates of inflation often times, correct or incorrect?  Should we not be looking for some type of balance or is this what the checks will be doing?  Are the checks going to help you out very much, it's been said by bush that the purpose is to help americans with gas prices and food costs, i only get 300-600 dollars it's more for families, but in the long run macroeconomy, is this going to do anything except make matters worse?  Sure we get our money now, b/c we are a have it your way RIGHT NOW society but there could be better solutions, not that i can speak up and tell you any though, what say you?

Blog Family

I don't know if this has been addessed before or not, but i'll take a hack at it.

This is quite a group of people we have in this blogosphere.  People to communicate with, people who i don't even know personally, but have developed a relationship with through the blogs.  It realy is a joy for me to discuss different topics in an open forum with general intellectuals.  After the day is done and i've had my fun, it's nice to come home flip on the tube, crack open a cold............coke and talk with some of you.  Don't get me wrong i have been blessed with many friends, but living alone has a disadvantage when you come home, there is nobody to talk to, so the blog work out well.

Religous Politics Two

They're on top now.  The islamic religion is now the single largest religion in the world surpassing catholisism.  The vatican blamed this on more babies being born into this religion than that of catholisism, but could this religion be gaining strength from other sources than just babies?  Christianity encompasses several denominations or separate religions therefore is not recgonized as the single largest.

Could the current pope be lining himself up for major problems with his statements blasting this religion?  Bin Laden has promised conflict.  Now that they have more supporters of the faith than that of catholics is this just the beginning of major problems for the catholic church and their relationship with religions in shear disagreement with the vatican?

Gas Piggy

Look at my piggy bank after I bought gas today.

According to Bloomberg, the price of petroleum sits at $106 dollars, if that's not right then feel free to correct.  Question, price gouging on the part of the oil companies?  Industrial revolution in China and India?  I paid 3.29 today, is this as bad when some of you older/wiser than me folks experienced this during the jimbo administration/the seventies on the incomes you had? What say you.

Military Shout Out

Recently the death toll in the conflict in the midde east reached 4,000.  While i'm not capable of understanding the loss of a son or daughter, father or mother in this form it has to be traumatic and devastating.  Consider 4,000 individuals who gave their lives for a greater good for this country and for you and me.  While the death toll here dos not compare to other wars and conflicts, it is still a very sad realization that war is often an alternative.  4,000 lives lost, people no different than those we communicate with on a daily basis, thoughts, dreams vanish into memories.  Memories to cherish and hold close for a family member died for a cause.  All politics aside, as i come off of a horrible blogging day yesterday, as some have formulated opinions about this conflict, as some demonstarte their disdain for conflict and as some support the effort.  Let's take a moment as we have done many times in the past to recgonize, remember, value, support, love those who are currently serving those who have served and give them the respect they deserve.

Religous Politics?

With all of the hoop lah about obama and his controversial pastor, i'd like to ask a question having to with politics and religion.  Is it the place of a pastor to use his or her pulpit to enhance or frequently talk about politcal subjects?  Granted, not all pastors are as extreme as Rev. Wright.  Sometimes politics is referred to and given much light during a sermon, but where does it cross the line from being a sermon about the bible or whatever book one reads versus being a political step stool to promote a certain political ideology?  Some on the news have said that this is po

Foriegn Language Requirements?

Very good blogs titina.  I have no idea what you said, eventhough i took two years of spanish in hs.  With a D in spanish I and an A in Spanish II, i learned the basics.  However, many of my peers categorized spanish class as a waste of time, which leads me to my questions to all bloggers.  Regardless of whether or not you ever took a foreign language, do you think that foreign language I and II should be mandatory for all in order to be admitted to a four year university or to have it done in order to graduate from college?  Granted the language may come in handy one day, but should t

Does it make any difference

What does conservatism mean to you?  With all of the talking that J. McCain is not consrvative enough and M. Huckabee is too conservative, where is the middle ground or do we even have a middle ground?  Does being conservative mean being afraid of change and is change even a possibility through the election of a president?  I've come to the realization that i am talking to Democrats, Repulicans, Independents and others so i would also ask the question are we capable of uniting with compromise?  This is my first presidential election that i will be able to vote in and i'm beginning to think that it really doesn't matter who becomes president, of course i have my reservations on the democratic side and would prefer to see a republican elected due to moral considerations, but what kind of a difference will it make regardless, what is your opinion?

Clay Sheriff Candidate

The newest candidate for sheriff is not the person that one blogger stated.  Paul Abernathy has a record that exemplifies qualities unlike that of a sheriff.  He was not hired or re-hired at the sheriff's office due his actions of distributing dope back in the seventies.  From what i was told by Abenathy it is the policy of the sheriff that anyone who has sold or distributed dope in their lives cannot be hired, so it is highly unlikely that the sheriff is interested in Abernathy splitting the vote as he would not want this association.  Abernathy is also the pastor at a small church in
