opflsw's blogCrime in Clay County
From various postings on ClaySheerif.com...... "The Uniform Crime Reports as published for our county in 2006: Clay County with a population of 176,901 we had an increase in crime of 9.8% over the year of 2005. Duval County with a population of 879,235 had an increase in crime of only 0.2% over the year of 2005. We get to hear on the news about all the crimes in Duval, but seldom hear about all the crimes that are being committed in our county. With a population of close to 880,000 people and only a 0.2% increase in crime would indicate that Sheriff Rutherford and his staff are doing an outstanding job. On the other hand, a population of only 177,000 and a 9.8% increase in crime would indicate that Sheriff Beseler is not doing an outstanding job" Any information on CTLAC
Does anyone know the makeup (name and number of members) of the Citizens for Term Limits and Accountability Committee (CTLAC)? Related: Report Abuse | 1 comment | Tags: Citizens for Term Limits and Accountability Committee (CTLAC)
New Truthful Website
I WOULD LIKE TO ENCOURAGE ALL OF THE READERS OF MYCLAYSUN....WHO ARE BOAD WITH THEIR STRAIGHT LACED COMMENTS...OR ARE YOU TIRED OF HAVING TO SEARCH THROUGH THE BLOGS ABOUT FAVORITE PETS, OR SMUNSEY GIVING US HIS HIHGLY SOUGHT OUT OPINION..NOT!!!! It seems as if the blogs getting the most activity.bloggins, viewings are routinely shoved to the dark under belly of Mr. Thames' publication...why I ask...BECAUSE IT DOES NOT AGREE WITH HIS POLITICAL AGENDA. I STAND UP HERE TO NIGHT AND ASK THAT ALL CLAY COUNTY CITIZENS THAT WHAT A POSITIVE CHANGE IN THE COUNTY GOVERNMENT TO VISIT A NEW WEBSITE CALLED CLERK OF COURT JETT
I just learned that the Clerk of Court, James Jett is scheduled to go to federal court for violation of the whistle blower act. WHERE ARE THE NEWS STORIES ABOUT THAT?? TIMES UNION....CLAYSUN....CLAYTODAY...are any of you out there wanting to print stories that actually mean something?
CHRISTY FITZGERALD INNOCENT
CONGRATULATIONS TO CHRISTY FITZGERALD WHO WAS ACQUITTED TODAY OF THE FELONY CHARGE LEVIED AGAINST HER IN THE PERSECUTION BY THE STATE ATTORNEY'S OFFICE. I HAVE SPENT THE PAST THREE DAYS WONDERING WHY COUNTY OFFICIALS ARE ALLOWING SUCH A WASTE TO TAXPAYERS MONEY IN CONDUCTING THIS TRIAL
JUSTICE PREVAILS. CONGRATULATIONS CHRISTY!!!!!!!!!! Your Clay Sun
I along with several neighbors have talked about the new "Clay Sun" and how much we miss the County Line. We all used to look forward to Wednesdays and Saturdays. I would like to know how many Clay County residents prefer the County Line and how many prefer the Clay Sun. The on-line blogs on Clay Sun should be listed in order of "viewings" and "posts" (activity) as it would seen that blogs getting the most postings or viewings are generating the most interest. Instead, I am assuming that Mr. Thames dictates which blogs are listed first. So it is no surprise that blogs with the most views or posts are on page 7, 9, etc, as these are the blogs that apparently differ from his personal opinion. One Victory
Yea, one victory for former county commission Christy Fitzgerald. The judge ruled today granting a change of venue to St. Johns County. The judge also expressed concern over the SAO/CCSO loosing documents (2 documents from 2 different files). Documents that are very important in this case. I bet if the documents HELPED the State's case, then they would not have been LOST??????? I am looking forward to writing more blogs when Ms. Fitzgerald is acquitted and is reinstated and provided back pay. Then all of these bloggers who are encouraging people to submit names for consideration for her seat can rest. It is a great day!!!!!!!! Christy Fitzgerald Trial
I have been a resident of Clay County for over 20 years. I love my home, my neighborhood and my county. There is only one downside to this great county….I have seen a great deal of “The Good Ol’ Boy” network at work in many areas of the county over the years. I had hoped that when Sheriff Scott Lancaster was not re-elected that things were starting to change. Unfortunately, I was wrong. Compare what Mr. Lancaster did to what former County Commissioner Christy Fitzgerald is alleged to have done. There is no comparison, Mr. Lancaster’s misdeeds are far more egregious but did he ever face any criminal charges or administrative punishment? NO!! Granted he did not get re-elected, but that was the people of Clay County voting. |
